Okay, so my main reason for posting this is the styling.
I would love to frolic endlessly in these outfits, but I suppose good old M&S will continue to do the trick for me. Frolic is a word I have been enjoying quite a lot recently, I have used it in a variety of situations and it is yet to seem ugly to me.

(THOUGHTS...I think her boobs are a little too squashed together in a few of these shots but I guess we'll just let that slide and a part of me wishes she wasn't so raunchy but then I'm not going to dwell on the matter because what's done is done)

Watch this video made for Jalouse magazine, I was nicely surprised. They took a common concept and put a little satirical twist on it, making it... original, I guess? Anyway I thought it was quite enjoyable, the voice-over pretty much spells out the thought process for making most adverts. Attractive individual, attracted to another attractive individual whilst wearing attractive clothes changing outfit several times a day. Buy things.

Perhaps I will start to get back on track, I'd like too.

faces look ugly when you're alone

Today has been productive, I purchased a few things, prepared some packages, baked some cookies and cleaned a bit. Looking back at that list, it suddenly all feels much less significant, never mind.
Yesterday we broke up for the Winter holidays, and I am more than happy to dismiss school for a little while. I have a lot of work to do over these next 2 weeks but part of me feels like procrastination will arrive and time will disappear. The usual story.
I think I may be feeling a little festive, I often find myself humming a Christmas tune or two as I scurry along, it's quite enjoyable, actually.
Oh, and I'm terribly sorry that my blog seems to have become exclusive to photos and editorials, it was not my intention and I will try and rectify this.

I am in love.

Sure the clothes are cute and flowy, and I can't say i wouldn't mind owning some of them (the last two and the nearly transparent mini dress) but I think we all know that when it comes to this Lookbook, the clothes are not the main thing on our minds. For me it's the grainy black and white photos contrasting against the milky, soft cat and Anja Konstantinova's sharp bleach blonde eyebrows and hair.

It's just the perfect combination.

I got some of my film developed the other day and i thought i'd share a few photos with you.

All of the pictures are from when i went on my little trip to Ireland during Summer.
The one I took of my grandad is my favourite of the bunch, he helped me learn how to use my film camera, he is wonderful!
It is so hot in the UK at the moment, I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I was looking forward to the colder days, but I'm sure they will come sooner or later!

Requiem for a Dream

Every since I first watched this film it has left an imprint on me. I'm not sure whether it was the pure reality of the film or the incredible acting, or a mix of the two but there was and is something very powerful and moving about it.
Throughout certain parts of the film it was inevitable that I would just sit and cry, it was not forced or predicted, the tears would just start to roll off of my cheeks and I would feel a moment of despair. I can relate to this film in a number of ways, especially in this scene. I think most people can relate to it. This monologue is one of my favourite parts, the acting is flawless and every time I watch it I only think of one person which makes me ridiculously sad.
If you haven't watched this film I recommend you do so immediately and then tell me how you feel, if you can.

No7 perfect lips liner "nude" and Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick #3.
As you can see they're both pretty similar but the lip liner is a little darker, together they make the perfect team, however I don't think having both is that necessary. I can't really say much more about them but I would recommend smelling the Rimmel lipstick before you buy, simply because it's one of those scents which you either love or hate. I personally don't mind it!

WONDERLAND - SEPT/OCT 2011

Whilst flicking through the Sept/Oct edition of Wonderland I felt a sense of "F***. I am so ready for winter". The amount of inspiration that my brain has just consumed is utterly pleasing. Perhaps it's the new Zara knit that came in the post this morning that is adding to this feeling of warmth but I'm excited. It's strange though, I'm sat here on my bed and I feel completely useless, yet I'm so happy to just sit here. I'm going through a phase of "I could go out but I'd rather just sit here and contemplate life happily and not have to worry about anything but my own thoughts". It must be because I know school starts next week, although I'm actually slightly excited, I think it's because I'm trying this new thing, it's called organisation. I even bought a new Moleskine notebook which to me, feels oh so fancy!

FreeRice - I recently discovered this site and i was instantly intrigued.
"FreeRice is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Programme.
FreeRice has two goals:
1. Provide education to everyone for free
2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free"
The game consists of a series of questions and each one that you answer correctly earns you 10 grains of rice which is donated through the World Food Programme to help end hunger.
I think it's a great concept, it's easy, free, builds vocabulary, helps pass the time and the best thing? You're helping people all over the world.

I think this is the first ever colour photo of me on here. What a special day it is!

Anyway, yesterday I learnt that it's probably best not to taste the seeds from a chili as they are hot and will most likely burn your tongue. Some advice from me to you. I learnt this as I tried to make a Mexican chili dish of some sort for my family.

I just had to repost this when i saw it, for obvious reasons.

I'll throw in a little update whilst I'm here.

Today i kissed the Blarney stone, i didn't expect it to be so life threatening! Perhaps that was a little bit of an over exaggeration... but i did find it quite scary. I mean who wouldn't? Being dangled backwards over the edge of a castle to kiss a stone with nothing but a little Irish man for support and a couple of bars underneath, not to mention wearing a slippery silk shirt, sounds pretty scary to me! I did have a fun day though, you should check it out if you're ever hanging out in Ireland for a moment.

I'm going away to Ireland for 3 weeks, and these are just a few things I thought I might need, i gave up on trying to make my photos look beautiful, it just doesn't work for me.
I'm excited about going, I look forward to sailing and crab fishing but I'm going to miss my mum so much!

A lot of things are going to be changing over the next year and i wonder whether the phrase "happiness is somewhere else" is true, not knowing is almost as worrying as finding out. I feel like it's me in the second image, looking out and seeing the never ending horizon and realising just how small I am and how big everything out there is.

I hope you're all having wonderful Summers and continue to do so, I'll try my best to post whilst I'm away.

Now I must admit, I'm not usually attracted to this sort of thing, but there seems to be an exception here. I'm loving the slouchy, relaxed feeling I'm getting whilst staring at this collection, I'm imagining myself in those red long johns and oversized hoodies, I wan't to be rocking those charcoal flared jeans like I'm 10 again.

It all looks so effortless and comfy, I love.

Yes i know, i didn't get much because i'm broke, but i have some eBay listings up so i'm hoping for some funds. What i have on there, you probably, no definitely will not be interested in.
Anyway, the jumper thing is from River Island in the sale for like £12 (the photo does not do it justice). The pants are from h&m and i just had to snap em up because they're so adorable. I also bought a new book, "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens for 70p in the charity shop. If any of you have read it and care to tell me your opinion on it i would enjoy that. I love charity shop shopping, you just go in and bamm you might find something, you might not but it's always gonna be super cheap so it doesn't even matter! I finally purchased the Sleek Storm palette, everyone keeps saying it's great... but we'll see about that. (I also got some of this, it's my third tube, works a treat)
Hopefully by the end of this year i will have a delicious SLR camera which takes wonderful pictures so we can all sit and stare at my blog and enjoy the quality of my photos.

As always Rick Genest is looking damn good, especially alongside Jac Jagaciak.
The bright bold colours in this editorial really make it, the whole thing screams Summer, unfortunately where i am currently situated it does not look, nor feel like Summer.
This saddens me.

This collection is damn nice, totally just made me remember how good tan skin looks against white.

I love the shiny bronze metallics, I want the maxi skirt and I adore the simple chic look of the black blazer, trousers and white shirt.

Perfect!

I could definitely do with a number of these pieces in my wardrobe.

Forgive my lack of posts recently, I've been feeling particularly uninspired. I feel like I'm waiting for something, anything to bring some motion and diversity to my daily routine which I've been growing increasingly tired of.

On a brighter note, i love the sheer pastel colours and fabrics in stylestalker's new collection, everything feels fresh and i adore the crisp bites of white and sky blue.
Feels like Summer!
